Vintage Christmas in Portsmouth
Now in its eigth year, Vintage Christmas in Portsmouth will once again grace the historic seaport district of Portsmouth. This event, listed as "one of the Top 100 Events in North America" and "one of the top Ten things not to miss in New England," kicks off on Saturday, December 8. Possibly under a freshly fallen blanket of snow, the fun-filled family event begins with the annual lighting of the city's Christmas tree, and continues for four weeks culminating with First Night Portsmouth on New Year's Eve. All Vintage Christmas festivities are easily reached from our downtown Portsmouth hotel.
Throughout this quintessential Christmas event, partake in the Strawbery Banke Museum's 33nd annual Candlelight Stroll, enjoy live holiday themed performances, and family-favorite films broadcast in the Music Hall's landmark Historic Theater and the Music Hall Loft. Marvel at the festively decorated downtown district aboard a free trolley ride through the red-bricked Market Square, stroll along the area's eclectic shops and sample Portsmouth's famous New England culinary specialties all from the comfort of our downtown Portsmouth hotel.
