Boston - Portsmouth Air Show
Originally known as the Pease Air Show, today the Boston - Portsmouth Air Show attracts approximately 75,000 attendees over the two-day event each summer. The annual event is located at Pease International Airport, also known as the Tradeport, and the dates for the 2013 show have not yet been announced. Our Portsmouth hotel is conveniently located just five (5) miles from the airport.
In 2011, the United States' Air Force Thunderbirds returned to New Hampshire for the first time in 25 years. During the 2012 air show, we were excited to welcome back the return of the United States' Navy Blue Angels to our skies.
In addition to the Boston - Portsmouth Air Show's 2012's headlining act of the Blue Angels, a wide selection of aircraft from past and present eras were flown in for aviation enthusiasts to get an up and close vantage. In year's past, these aircraft have included:
- Blackhawk Helicopter
- F-16
- KC-135
- C-130
- B-52
Proceeds from the Boston - Portsmouth Air Show go to help fund two local organizations: the Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire, a private, non-profit, family and consumer run organization representing over 5,000 New Hampshire residents with acquired brain disorders and stroke; and Boy Scouts of America.
