Portsmouth Restaurant Week

April 4th to April 13th

  As we get set to embark on yet another Portsmouth Restaurant Week odyssey on April 4th, I think back to when it was in its infancy a few years back. Harbor’s Edge was one of the pioneering restaurants for this local pre fixe menu deal. In fact we were one of maybe seven or eight restaurants in town that opted to participate initially. How times have changed! Due to Portsmouth Restaurant Week’s increasing popularity, the number of restaurants participating in April of 2013 has ballooned to 48 establishments, a number that even includes greater Seacoast restaurants in Maine, Massachusetts and surrounding towns.

Restaurant week is a win-win for both the customer and the establishment. The customer gets to dine on phenomenal cuisine at some of the Seacoast’s best restaurants for a very reasonable price while the participating restaurants enjoy strong revenues while showcasing their food and service. The deal features a three course pre fixe menu for lunch and dinner. The Lunch goes for $19.95 and dinner is $29.95.

With a myriad of restaurants to choose from for the week, why not make a vacation of it? Come stay at the Sheraton and let our first class staff pamper you, as we are within walking distance to many of the best restaurants participating. When you head out to dine at one of Portsmouth’s many fine eateries you can’t go wrong visiting Moxy or Cava for small plates, or Radici, the Black Trumpet, the Green Monkey or Ristorante Massimo for some awesome regional Italian cuisine.

At Harbor’s Edge, our restaurant week lunch menu features items such as our award winning lobster and roasted corn chowder, pepper seared diver scallops and chevre spinach salad and a barbequed pulled pork and horseradish cheddar grilled cheese with fresh slaw. Our dinner menu at Harbor’s Edge features some creative fusion cuisine. You can start off with a crispy fried avocado taco with chipotle lime cream and Pico de Gallo, then enjoy chili rubbed pork medallions with a chorizo potato hash, sesame seared salmon with a sweet Thai chili sauce or a local haddock filet poached in a spicy red curry, coconut broth with jasmine rice. These entrees are all gluten free.
